Welcome to my online, private and individualized, piano lessons! My name is Ms. Katie and I'm looking forward to walking through this journey with you!

Basic lesson can include:
Alfred's Series
Classical Repertoire 
Sacred
Sheet music additions

For our first class, we'll get to meet each other, talk about your music background, and discuss any specific music goals you may have. During this time, I'll gauge which book in the Alfred series would be the best fit for you based on several factors including age and musical experience. But no worries! If you don't have any music already, I'll have some we can start with in our very first lesson! 

As we continue through our lessons, we'll work on many facets of music in general - not just piano! This includes music reading, music theory, interpretation, communication, and expression, as well as methods specific to the piano such as technique, articulation, and relaxation. Don't forget the scales, arpeggios, and cadences! We'll learn those, too. 

 All students must have a stable internet connection and use a device with proper sound and a functioning camera. The device must be set up in such a way that the teacher can see the learner’s hands while they are playing as well as hear what is being played. 
	
Good focus is vital for profitable music lessons. Therefore students must take their lessons in a location free from background noise and distractions. Lessons may be suspended if the student’s environment is noisy or distracting.

Please refrain from allowing your learner to eat during their lessons.

Make-up lessons are not offered for missed lessons.
