Cookies are always a good idea! In this 6 week baking flex course, your learner will follow along with Ms. Katie as we bake 6 delicious cookie recipes. Because this is a FLEX course, there are no live meetings. All lessons are pre-recorded, by me, in my own kitchen. This is the perfect setting for learning to bake, as the learner can pause, skip back, and skip ahead in the video as necessary. Each recipe will have 2 videos: The first video will be 2-4 minutes, where I lay out the ingredients and make suggestions as to preferred brands or possible substitutions, etc. The second video will be a full-length cooking video designed in such a way that your student can cook right along with me. The only time edited out will be for baking in the oven or cooling in the fridge, etc. Once a week for 6 weeks, I will upload 3 items into our online classroom: 1) Our recipe, 2) A recipe preview video that showcases our ingredients, and 3) The full-length baking video. Learners are also encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and express their own preferences for different foods by way of commenting on our classroom posts. Students will enjoy uploading pictures of their finished recipes and seeing their classmates' cookie pictures as well! Maybe you made some changes or additions to my recipes? Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is highly recommended as students will be using various kitchen tools and appliances.
Please note: The recipes included in this course are not suitable for those with special dietary needs as they contain peanut butter, dairy, gluten, and other possible allergens. When reasonable, ingredient substitutions can be discussed to make these recipes more accommodating.
