Part 2 of 2 Semesters, 14 lesson each.

While writing compositions with stylistic techniques and six of IEW’s nine structural units, students will get to know the workers who keep a community running smoothly—from firefighters and police officers to road crews and rescue workers. This course is designed for Kindergarten - Second Grade students.

This course is filled with stories based on the people that make up our community. As we work through these lessons, Students will learn about many of the roles people take to make our community work. They will also learn how to write with Structure and Style, writing paragraphs, stories, reports and creative writing. They will enjoy a variety of activities and games, and will be surprised at how fun writing can be!

Each week we will read a story book to go with that weeks theme, as recommend by the course text, and learn vocabulary words.
