Class Experience
US Grade 5 - 9
This is a one-on-one class. The student will bring their school materials and topics to class each week. What will be taught? -We will focus on what the student needs that week. This could include homework assignments or current classroom novel help. -Current topics in Language Arts in the student's classroom. Topics -We will discuss and practice general reading comprehension and writing skills and strategies as it applies to the student's needs and assignments. Structure & Teaching -One-On-One -Content topics led by student needs -Engagement and participation I enjoy connecting with students and using their interests to learn. I will keep students engaged with the content and focus on specific objectives and learning targets for each class. No prior knowledge is necessary.

Hello! My name is Kelley and I am a middle school teacher by day. Language arts is my specialty but also like to dabble in some other areas such as career writing and project-based learning for any subject. I believe that having fun while learning helps us to retain information more successfully. Also, as a teacher, I always learn something new along with my students. This also lets them know that I don't know everything but am excited when new info or skills come my way. I am always willing to help a student who is stuck or just needs that little extra push!
