Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
This one-time class is for learners who would prefer one-on-one instruction. In this class, you select one of my class topics and it is offered as an individual lesson. I cover the same material that is presented in my group version of the class, but focus the lesson based on the literacy level of your learner. This is great for learners who prefer one-on-one instruction or want to get to know a teacher before they join a group class.

** Please note that the class size is set to 2 students, but this is for siblings only. If you sign up and do not wish to enroll a sibling in the class, I will make the class private and your student will be the only one enrolled in the class. **

Upon enrollment, you will identify the topic to be covered along with any specific literacy goals your child is currently working on. All topics include talking, drawing and/or writing - finding engaging ways to use connect learner's interests and imagination with their current literacy skills.

Select one of these topics:
•	Marvelous Maps: exploring & making maps
•	Create a comic strip
•	Storytelling together: (bring a few favorite toys to include in your story)
•	Nature: talk, draw & write (bring a nature item to share)
•	Building: talk, draw & write (bring a brick build to share)

If you are interested in any of the other topics I teach on Outschool, please let me know to see if it is possible to offer as a one-on-one lesson.

If you don’t see a date/time available that works with your schedule, please request a time that works for your learner.
Learning Goals
The overarching goal of this class is to get learners excited about putting their ideas down on paper and using their emerging literacy skills in new and creative ways, so they can grow into more confident readers and writers over time.
This class can be repeated as many times as you like, with a different focus for each lesson.
