In this one-time course, learners will dive into the myth and magic of unicorns as we explore ancient cultures, artifacts and myths surrounding the unicorn. Learners will learn about the beginnings of the myth as well as the modern day unicorn "discoveries" As learners go through history and uncover real-life animals that resemble unicorns we will learn to draw a unicorn step-by-step. Together we will color in our unicorns and give them special names and powers. Then we will give our unicorns a special place to live and showcase each students completed drawings to the class
Learning Goals
Students will learn the history, the myth and the magic of unicorns with some silly news along the way. Students will learn to draw and color a unicorn of their own and spark creativity with names and special powers of the unicorn.

I am a published author of five books including non-fiction, fiction and two children's books.
I am also an animal lover who has cared for and rehabilitated animals all of my life. Currently, I have over 6 animals residing on my property, and before you accuse me of being a cat hoarder - I only have two kittens!
I am Wild Animal Health Care Certified, a Wildlife Conservationist, and also Marine and Eco Tourism Certified. I told you I love animals!
I approach teaching as a creative endeavour and I instill creativity in all of my classes. The more we can expand on being creative, the easier it is to approach different learning opportunities, career choices and even life choices.
