Beginner Level
Beat making is a creative process that focuses on crafting the rhythmic foundation, or beats, of a song. This element of a song is especially important in genres like hip-hop and EDM. Music Production is a more comprehensive term that includes creating and producing various types of music, not just the beats! It is the process of creating, arranging, and refining a piece of music from start to finish. Whether your child is drawn to the rhythm-focused world of beat making or the broader, collaborative realm of music production, this course will provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. Students will interact with the instructor often to get feedback and are encouraged to provide constructive opinions to their class mates. There will be opportunities to collaborate with other students on remixes. Upon completion of the program your child will showcase their original compositions proudly!
Learning Goals
The learner will gain the ability to create a variety beats and have a solid grasp of music production concepts. They will be proud to showcase their original music compositions using popular music sequencing software.
