Welcome to the Official Mickey SMP...or as my students like to call it, the MSMP! This is a club where YOU get to create your own characters, scripts, and lore for your OWN Minecraft Survivor Multiplayer world...like the Youtube Dream SMP! Each week, students will have the opportunity to enjoy playing minecraft with a group, be a part of an SMP, with a story that gives everyone an opportunity to get involved, no matter when you join in! Each student will be given access to our class Minecraft server that will only be accessible during class hours. Participants will be able to create their own Minecraft character persona, propose plots and ideas for the SMP, practice improv acting and role-playing, and make our own Minecraft nations (like L'manburg!). Become a hero, villain, epic sidekick, or pave your own path! WEEKLY MEETINGS WILL INCLUDE: - Discussions about the latest MSMP Lore - Discussions about the latest Dream SMP Lore - Opportunities to introduce characters, plots and ideas for our story - Opportunity to share character art - Write scripts for important lore meetings - Practice voice and character acting by live role-playing your character *** Each week's topic will be dictated by the learner's interests. Topic examples for each week: WEEK of May 27: Introducing new members. Get to know the characters and world while playing Minecraft together. Homework for newcomers: Make a character for the SMP. Log into the Minecraft Server successfully. WEEK of June 3: Introduce new characters and talk about them. Introduce ideas, and begin to build relationships between characters. Begin exploring the MC Map. Continue weekly Minecraft SMP gameplay. WEEK of June 10: Present a problem or task that must be solved, such as founding a new nation, claiming land, or dealing with troublesome characters. Enjoy interacting with other members in character. WEEK of June 17: Discuss main plot points and begin scripting story. Continue SMP plot. WHAT LEARNERS WILL NEED: Minecraft Java Edition and a computer to connect and play! I can't wait to see you there!

Hello! My name is Michelina Leonard, but I go by Ms. Mickey in my classes!
I'm a digital illustrator and designer, known best for my love of animals and how they inspire my work. Raised in Pennsylvania, I live in the country with my menagerie of parrots, goats, chickens, and cats. I have a college education in digital art and have professional work experience in the field, including graphic/logo design, children's book illustration, novel cover design, studio painting, 2D animation, and more.
My most popular classes are my Warrior Cat's Clubs, where learners get to enjoy connecting with other fans of the book series, learning art techniques, sharing their creative work, and role-playing with their 'clan'. I teach traditional basic drawing techniques, along with digital art and animation. Most importantly, though, students get to share their characters and showcase their artwork!
Drawing "battle cats" isn't my only topic of interest, though! I also have a Dragon Drawing Club (for Wings of Fire fans), an Original Character Club, where we draw and discuss ALL types of OCs!
I like to keep my classes social and interactive! I structure my classes in a way that fosters a community within the group, and I am driven to ensure that every student feels valued and welcomed in the classroom. My favorite part is that learners get to connect and inspire each other to improve, rather than just listening to me give a weekly lecture. The artwork skill improvement that I've seen in many of my students within this group enviroment has been astronomical and a joy to witness!
I hope to see your learners in my classes!
