Welcome to the ULTIMATE Warrior Cat's Drawing Course! My name is Ms. Mickey and I am an old Youtube Warrior Cat's Animator, and I've been drawing and animating warrior cats for basically over ten years. Over this course, I am going to give you everything I have learned about drawing cats! While we go through this course, you guys are going to have the opportunity to introduce to me and your other "clan mates" your own personal OCs, and your own personal Warrior Cat drawing style. This class is pretty straightforward...each week, two video lessons will be posted and your "homework" will be to watch and draw along with the video. In this course we will not be focusing on drawing any particular Warrior Cats from the books...instead you will be given the freedom to turn the cats we draw into whoever YOU imagine them to be; an original character, or a character from the series. I am also going to challenge you to try getting to know each other; we are all Warriors fans with characters and stories of our own, so I want you to share them with your 'clan mates'! We're not only here to learn, but also to make friends! You will also be given sharing challenges throughout the week; to share a drawing you are proud of, a story you've written involving your characters, to comment on another clanmates post, and even to try your hand at role-playing your characters with each other! We will have a live chat room where you guys can interact and role play your characters together. I am SO excited for you guys to showcase your talents and see the drawings you create! WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Any drawing material you would like to use for this class. All mediums, including pens, pencil, marker, colored pencil, and even digital tablets are welcome! I will be using Photoshop, but it is not necessary for this class. Recommended: - A light pencil for sketching, an ink pen or marker for line work, and coloring material. - A document program such as Word or WordPad to type short stories. - An iPad with Procreate or other drawing program.

Hello! My name is Michelina Leonard, but I go by Ms. Mickey in my classes!
I'm a digital illustrator and designer, known best for my love of animals and how they inspire my work. Raised in Pennsylvania, I live in the country with my menagerie of parrots, goats, chickens, and cats. I have a college education in digital art and have professional work experience in the field, including graphic/logo design, children's book illustration, novel cover design, studio painting, 2D animation, and more.
My most popular classes are my Warrior Cat's Clubs, where learners get to enjoy connecting with other fans of the book series, learning art techniques, sharing their creative work, and role-playing with their 'clan'. I teach traditional basic drawing techniques, along with digital art and animation. Most importantly, though, students get to share their characters and showcase their artwork!
Drawing "battle cats" isn't my only topic of interest, though! I also have a Dragon Drawing Club (for Wings of Fire fans), an Original Character Club, where we draw and discuss ALL types of OCs!
I like to keep my classes social and interactive! I structure my classes in a way that fosters a community within the group, and I am driven to ensure that every student feels valued and welcomed in the classroom. My favorite part is that learners get to connect and inspire each other to improve, rather than just listening to me give a weekly lecture. The artwork skill improvement that I've seen in many of my students within this group enviroment has been astronomical and a joy to witness!
I hope to see your learners in my classes!
