We’ll break down division into easy, memorable steps using the box method, creating a supportive and fun learning environment. Each class, we’ll explore division basics, review key vocabulary, and practice both 1-digit and 2-digit divisors. Using Nearpod, learners will engage with interactive lessons, play games, and gain confidence in division through hands-on practice! 🧮✨

What is Nearpod? 💻

Nearpod, a free program, empowers learners to participate in class according to their comfort level. With Nearpod, students can showcase their work, seek assistance, or ask questions privately. As an educator, I use this platform to share interactive slideshows, featuring engaging lessons and personalized math problems for each student. The real-time nature of Nearpod allows me to observe their problem-solving process and provide individualized support. Accessing this program is simple—your child just needs to copy the class link or enter the code into the Nearpod app. If your learner prefers paper and pencil, they can still easily participate, as all material is shared via Zoom screen.

Parental Guidance
Learners will use Nearpod during class. No logins are required—just the provided link to access the platform. These tools make learning engaging and fun while mastering key math concepts!
Pre-Requisites
Learners should be comfortable with single-digit division, know their multiplication facts up to 12, and understand place value. This class is perfect for those needing extra support and ready to learn the box division method
Supply List
Learners should bring a whiteboard and marker or paper and pencil to each lesson, especially if they prefer to work offline instead of using digital platforms. This will help them actively participate, solve problems, and write out their work during each session.
