US Grade 4 - 6
I love helping kids practice how to multiply and divide fractions. After introductions, I ask students about their prior experience with the topic. I will supply sample problems, ask questions, ask for volunteers, and encourage learners to work along with me on their own paper. Students might be asked to reply in the comments on Zoom, answer using the microphone, or to interact/annotate with me on the Zoom whiteboard. I like to check in with the kids during our sessions to gauge their level of understanding and make adjustments to the plan as we work based on their needs. I am a fan of having cameras on, if possible, to use facial expressions as cues for their understanding. I have been tutoring math for grades 3 - 7 for over ten years and look forward to tutoring for many more years! - Students should have knowledge of how to add and subtract fractions - Students should have knowledge of multiplication and division facts of positive integers (whole numbers) - Please understand that if this is the first time your child is seeing this concept, it may take more than one practice round to get comfortable. I use different examples from class to class. Need a different time for a section that works for you? Want private sessions for other math topics for your child's age? Please ask! *Note that missed classes are not within the parameters of Outschool's refund policy. Thank you in advance for understanding.
