Hello, and welcome to my profile!
My goal is to guide learners through the enriching world of writing, the practicality of important adulting life skills, and the everyday relevance of consumer math and personal finance. Setting learners up for success now and later on in their life is essential, and I hope to be part of that journey! Recently being recognized as an Outstanding Educator on Outschool in both 2023 and 2024 has further motivated me to create an empowering and engaging learning environment for all learners!
My academic journey led me to acquire Bachelor's Degrees in English, Journalism, Writing, Finance, and Music, topped with a Master’s Degree in Education. I LOVE to learn and share that knowledge with others 🙂. Throughout my teaching tenure, I spent 21 years in a high school setting, am an adjunct professor, and the proud owner of a private piano studio. With my experience of 26 years in teaching, both online and in-person, I've honed my skills to become a multifaceted educator passionate about fostering growth and knowledge. I am here to help your learners grow and gain confidence!
🌟My teaching approach is patient and hands-on, designed to engage learners of all ability levels. I've worked extensively with a broad spectrum of students, ensuring that learning is accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
🌟The courses I offer are as diverse as my experience, covering an expansive range of subjects like writing, literature, consumer math, personal finance, and a host of practical adulting skills.
🌟A little bonus for animal lovers—my cat, Tybalt, often makes a cameo during classes! When I'm not in the virtual classroom, I cherish my time with my three amazing children, play the piano, enjoy a good workout, or unwind with a book at the lake.
🌟My mission extends beyond mere teaching. I aim to instill confidence within each student, nurturing them to blossom into the best version of themselves. I'm thrilled at the prospect of being part of your exciting learning journey here on Outschool. Let’s embark on this educational adventure together!
