Class Experience
In this one-time class, students will learn when to use MLA citations, how to use them, and learn why citing sources is so crucial. The focus of this class is using in-text documentation following the MLA 8th Edition rules. Students will be given a short PowerPoint presentation to cover the basics of citing. Then, students will be given task cards to complete to learn how to cite properly in several different types of documents, including essays, research papers, etc.. The goal of this...
Students will learn how to properly cite in MLA format using in-text documentation.
After completing this course, the teacher will send students a short quiz covering MLA rules they can complete, submit, and get feedback from the teacher.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents should come with paper, a writing utensil, and a highlighter. Handouts will be provided prior to class.
Students will be assessed as they work on each task card, including class discussion.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
