Class Experience
Hello and Welcome! In this 5-week course, I look forward to us making friends and learning friendship skills together! Join me as we come together to talk, have fun and learn about friendship. Throughout this course, we will talk, listen, play games that I've created for this group, role-play, and make a craft. Friendship Skills we will cover: Week 1: Getting to Know You—Learners will use a friendship skill (finding common interests) to socialize and become familiar with each other....
- Students will learn ways to make friends and ways to keep the friendship going.
I'm a Professional School Counselor and have been for 14 years. During this time, I've worked with many students individually and in groups on building their friendship skills.
As a School Counselor for the past 14+ years, I enjoy working with all learners both neurodivergent and neurotypical.
We will complete a craft during the 5th week of our course. In the first class, I will inform learners of what that craft will be. The price to purchase materials for this craft will not exceed 10 dollars.
It should be noted that this course is not group therapy. All classes are suited for everyone and sensitive subjects will not be discussed.
