Beginner Level
In this class, students will learn about magic squares, strategies, patterns, and math facts. Puzzles are a great way to learn Math facts and develop mental calculation and thinking skills in a fun and easy way. A magic square is a grid where every row, column, and diagonal sum to the same number. One type of the many known magic squares, 3x3 was known to the ancient Chinese, who called it the Lo Shu. First, we will start by solving a picture puzzle. The pictures will be season-inspired. Here, learners will get familiar with types of puzzles where they need to use a piece of the puzzle by following a rule. Next, we will use the numbers between 1 and 9, which is the classical magic 3x3 square. Students will need to put a number in each box so that when each set of numbers is added vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, it will equal 15. I will guide them through the thinking process and provide additional suggestions and tips. I will remind students to use their addition skills when completing the squares. There are 8 ways to make a 3×3 magic square. So, the more solutions they could find the merrier. For their best experience, they should be familiar with addition and subtraction up to 20, and comfortable with sharing their answers. This class will set up the basics for your leaner's chess notations, sudoku puzzles and math logic.

I'm a passionate math teacher and educator, who loves working with children. I'm joyful and persistent person with a bachelors degree in teaching mathematics. I have been tutoring, teaching math and working with pupils for over 10 years. I'm creative, open, positive and most importantly, a reliable teacher.
I have more than five years of classroom teaching experience as a public school math teacher in Europe (middle school and high school), three years as a math instructor in after school programs in Canada, three year as a math tutor on Outschool, and a background which includes overall of more than 10 years of tutoring math.
My rich experience allows me to effectively assess student's challenging areas and focus on them. I always give students space and encourage them to share their opinions and thoughts.
My approach is an easy and fun way for students to enhance their math comprehension.
I believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn how to cherish and love math.
I spend my free time as a bookworm :D Avid reader here! I enjoy relaxing while playing my acoustic guitar and listening to classical music.
Let me drop some Fun Facts for me: I have lived on 2 continents, I can fluently speak, read and write in 5 languages (and I'm a math teacher, not a language teacher can you imagine?), and 10 is my favorite number. Did I say 2, 5, and 10? Oh, those multiplication fact families, they are everywhere!

****According to the Class recording policy of Outschool: ''Enrolling in class does not guarantee access to class recordings - they are shared at each teacher's discretion. "
I keep the discretion TO NOT SHARE THE RECORDINGS if two or more learners were following the meeting by default. Exceptions are possible. However, I would be happy to share the recording of any 1:1 class.
**** If parents are answering the questions directed to the students I will kindly ask them to restrict themselves from doing that, if that continues I will message privately, and if that continue happening I will contact the Outschool support for assistance.
**** Camera ON
Please can you encourage your learner to stay on the camera during the class, so we can have quality non-verbal communication as well. Sometimes, student's expression will tell more about their understanding of a specific topic we are working on than anything else.

**** I keep my classes at affordable rates.
