Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn phonolgical awareness skills, letter names and sounds, as well as handwriting during this ongoing course. These skills are crucial for pre-readers to prepare for reading instruction in our next leveled course.

There is no homework for this course. There will be fun ideas given to parents to support their childs learning throughout the week.
Markerboard with dry erase marker or writing tablet prefered A marker and paper will also work A set of magnetic letters (optional but encouraged) Your child will be going on scavenger hunts to find items that start with certain letters. Having some items nearby is helpful (ex: small toys)
Midway through the course and at the end of the course students will be assessed and progress will be sent to families.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
