Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to read and spell CVC words in isolation and in a sentence structure through the use of decodable texts. 
Your child will begin blending letter sounds together to read!
Week 1: Repeating beginning sounds-a, m ,t (I, like)
Week 2: Repeating beginning sounds t, p (the, a)
Week 3: Phoneme identification-f, d  (see,)
Week 4: Phoneme isolation i 
Week5: Phoneme isolation-n (and)
Week 6, Phoneme Isolation-u, ck (to, do)
Week7:  Phoneme Blending-e, l (look) 
Week 8: Phoneme Blending-w ( into)
Week 9: Phoneme Blending-j (said)
Ms. Rachel has completed her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, her Masters degree in Teaching Practices-Early Childhood General and Special Education, Reading Support Certified, LETRS Training, and ongoing professional development courses. 
Homework is not required. Enrichment ideas will be given to complete for extra practice between courses if desired. 
Something to write with and one -Marker board and dry eraser are helpful Magnetic letters (optional) Hand held Mirror (optional)
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Learners can join this course at any time-although some material builds upon what we have already learned, we will continue to review and any beginner reader could join at any time!
