Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Join me in learning to read!
With this fun class, your student and I will begin learn the letter sounds of the english alphabet. Letter sounds will be practiced through an ABC song. Learning letter sounds is important for any new reader, as the ability to identify letter sounds in words is an essential foundation to successful reading. This is also a great practice for early readers as it will allow students to review identifying letter sounds and sounding out words in reading.
Sight words will be learned through repeated readings, and fluency practice. Sight words learned are appropriate for early readers but will increase in difficultly as the course continues.
If students are ready we will end the class by learning to blend and read simple, decodable words.

Class Schedule:
Week of 1:
Topic: Students will begin learning letter sound song, learn to identify vowels, and beginning sounds of words.
Theme: Letter Sounds, and Phonemic Awareness

Welcome to my classroom- here you will find classes that are taught with intention of assisting young learners to learn to read! I do my best to create fun and engaging classes, that ask students to relate early reading topics to his or her life. While allowing opportunities for learners to share aloud with one another, practice learning in real time, and get up and move!
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me directly through Outschool. I will do my best to relieve any issues which you may face.

I am so excited that you are considering taking my classes- as shared, I predominately focus on early reading skills. As a full-time Kindergarten teacher, I get to teach young learners how to read everyday. And I am so excited to teach your child too! Everything that I teach on outschool, I use in my classroom when I am teaching students face to face. Meaning, what your child will learn with me on outschool, will be related to what he or she will learn at school.
I also have experience teaching in, and am U.S. certified to teach: Math, Writing, Handwriting, Science, Social Studies, and English as a Second Language for students Kindergarten through sixth grade. If you have any request for class topics, or tutoring then please let me know!
