Listening to Read-Alouds is crucial for many children learning to read. As an early educator, I strive to read 3 stories a day with my own students, to encourage fluency, vocabulary and phonemic awareness skills. Join this class, for your student to have the opportunity to listen to a Read-Aloud with kiddos his or her age. This class is created to be a quick and simple Read-Aloud, we will engage in predictions, comprehension questions, relating the story to our own life, and making inferences through pictures. Thus, giving your student the opportunity to develop crucial skills necessary to becoming a successful reader. The class will begin by previewing the book, and learning unknown words. During the story, students will answer questions such as: 'What do you think will happen next?' 'How does this character feel?' At the end of the story, students will use teacher assistance to create inferences about the story, answer: 'What do you think might happen next?' or summarize the story. Through popular story books, such as Pete the Cat, Piggie and Elephant, and If you Give a Mouse a Cookie. Using a new fun and silly book for each class, creating new learning experiences, and opportunities to practice reading skills during every class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome to my classroom- here you will find classes that are taught with intention of assisting young learners to learn to read! I do my best to create fun and engaging classes, that ask students to relate early reading topics to his or her life. While allowing opportunities for learners to share aloud with one another, practice learning in real time, and get up and move!
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me directly through Outschool. I will do my best to relieve any issues which you may face.
I am so excited that you are considering taking my classes- as shared, I predominately focus on early reading skills. As a full-time Kindergarten teacher, I get to teach young learners how to read everyday. And I am so excited to teach your child too! Everything that I teach on outschool, I use in my classroom when I am teaching students face to face. Meaning, what your child will learn with me on outschool, will be related to what he or she will learn at school.
I also have experience teaching in, and am U.S. certified to teach: Math, Writing, Handwriting, Science, Social Studies, and English as a Second Language for students Kindergarten through sixth grade. If you have any request for class topics, or tutoring then please let me know!
