1 hour per week. Students will need to have a book in mind before they start the class. They should know which book they want to write the report about before the first day of class. Students will need to write the book report for homework and then be prepared to read aloud their book report to the class during the second week.Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
In this course, students will learn an easy method to write a book report. In the first session, the students will learn the method, and during the second session, the students will read their book reports to the class. We will also have time to discuss the books that they wrote their book report about! They will be able to use this book report method whenever they are asked to write book reports in school or other reasons. I will provide an outline that can be used for all book reports. It will follow story sequencing, including characters, setting, and plot, and have a great introduction and conclusion with a cliff hanger, making us wonder if we should read this book!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Minnesota Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hello! I am excited to be your child's teacher.
I love to teach in any capacity: especially reading, writing and grammar classes.
Teaching is my passion! I have been teaching for 23 years everything from early childhood to college & adults. Not only have I taught in elementary schools, but I have been homeschooling my children for the past 12 years and working in several homeschool coops as well. For my career, I teach English as a Second Language to adults.
I am very familiar with the ins and outs of the English language, from the basics of phonics & reading to college writing, and everything in between! (Like past participles 😄) My philosophy of education is that every child can learn! I would love to work with your child and help them succeed! Even if your child is not reading or writing in a way you would like, they are amazing & smart! Education is a tool to help them share what they know with the world! Let's get started!
