Class Experience

In this class you will learn how to create a keyword summaries using a given passage.  You will learn what is a topic sentence, body and closing statement and how to identify the keywords in each sentence.  You will also learn how to retell the paragraph using your own words.  This is an introductory course to Simply Writing with Clara - a class in writing well...

The first session will include reading through the first paragraph and then going through each sentence one by one and identify three keywords for each sentence.  Then each student will use their keyword summaries and read their paragraph again but instead using their own words.
The following sessions we will do the same but with a different paragraphs.  The students will also be introduced to adjectives/adverbs and because/which clause in the subsequent sessions.
