Students will learn how to construct a strong paragraph. They will learn the structure of a paragraph, which will include a topic sentence, supporting details/examples, and a concluding sentence. The class format will be part modeling instruction, part participation, and part collaboration. I'll be visually modeling and talking the children through how to write a basic paragraph and invite their participation as I do this. They can also copy/write the paragraph as we go. If we have time, I'll invite children to offer some topics we can write paragraphs on together as a class.

Learning Needs
I'll be visually constructing the paragraph as we all verbally discuss it and the students participate in ideas. Physically writing the paragraph is optional.
Pre-Requisites
Taking my other sentence writing classes would be helpful (but not required) if the student has not first learned how to construct a sentence.
