Let's Read Together: A Comprehension, Discussion and Critical Analysis Course

Course Description:

Welcome to "Let's Read Together, a dynamic and interactive course designed for children of all ages to enhance their reading, discussion, and comprehension skills. Tailored specifically for foreign parents looking to support their children in navigating the English language, this course fosters a love for reading while building essential language skills.

Course Highlights:

Diverse Reading Materials: Explore a rich selection of age-appropriate books, ranging from classic tales to contemporary stories. Each session introduces new genres and themes, sparking curiosity and a passion for reading. The student will have the option to choose their own story to read, or I can pick one for us based on their genre preference. Some examples would be: Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Eragon, His Dark Materials, Junie B Jones, Dragon Master, My Weird School.

Interactive Discussions: Engage in lively discussions where students share their thoughts, ask questions, and develop critical thinking skills. Our guided conversations encourage deeper understanding and help children articulate their ideas clearly.

Comprehension Building: Through various activities and exercises, students enhance their ability to grasp storylines, infer meanings, and analyze characters. Comprehension strategies are taught in fun and interactive ways to cater to different learning styles.

Cultural Connections: Learn about cultural contexts and themes presented in the stories, fostering a greater appreciation of diverse perspectives and global narratives.

Essay Writing: At the request of the parents I am also willing to supply writing assignments to help build the students' essay writing abilities. We can do everything from narrative to critical analysis essays.
