In this class, students will continue to learn how to play the piano using bass and treble clef on the staff. Students should have finished Level A Part 2 or have good understanding of rhythm and piano fingering.
Class experience
Let's play piano! In this group course, beginning students will learn the basics of playing the keyboard. This is a follow up course from "Let's Play Piano-Level A Part 2." Students may also join this course if they have some beginning piano experience and know the rhythms of quarter note, quarter rest, half note, half rest, whole note, whole rest. If you are unsure if this course would be right for your student, and your student has played the piano before, please reach out to the teacher....

Students are expected to practice outside of class time.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Students will be assessed through videos submitted to the teacher either through the Flipgrid website or the Outschool classroom.Grades Offered
Learners will need a piano or keyboard to complete this course. They will also need to purchase the book "Bastien New Traditions All In One Piano Course" Primer B. It is widely available through music stores or online and costs around $12 USD. Here is the Amazon link for reference. Students will also need a pencil to mark their music in class. We will be using the Kjos Interactive Piano Studio in this class. Access to the online piano studio is included in the cost of your workbook.
