Beginner Level
Join me in this weekly, subscription-based class as we sing new and old songs and nursery rhymes. We will add rhythm and movement to get your child's whole body involved. I will encourage the children to learn the new songs. Children are welcome to sing or listen. I will encourage the children to follow along and copy the actions for each song. Exposing children to music and singing at a young age helps their brain development. It increases their ability to use language and gets them ready for reading. English language learners may benefit from this class. Moving to music helps students develop their gross motor skills. Identifying rhythms and patterns in music helps children get ready for math. But lets not forget, music is just fun!! #creative In this course we will sing classic children's songs, letter and number songs, and songs about the different seasons and holidays throughout the year. We will sing old and new songs that cover different topics that interest children. This course is designed for students to continue each week, or drop in on occasion for topics that interest them. Classes do not build on each other, but follow a consistent outline which is important for young learners. The course will follow this outline: 1. Welcome songs (about 3 minutes) 2. Songs covering the topic of the week (about 10 minutes) 3. Counting and letter songs (about 5 minutes) 4. Children's choice of classic nursery songs. We usually pick 4-6 songs depending on how may students are enrolled.
