In this class we will use the music of Hamilton to learn how to read basic rhythms in music. We will use the songs: "My Shot; Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story; Alexander Hamilton; You'll Be Back; The Schuyler Sisters; Wait for It and The Room Where It Happens" in this class. #creative
On day one, we will learn about quarter notes and eighth notes while practicing the rhythms in the songs "Who Lives? Who Dies? Who Tells Your Story," "Wait For It," and "The Room Where It Happens."
On day two, we will learn half notes, whole notes, dotted rhythms, and rest while practicing "The Shuyler Sisters," and "Alexander Hamilton." 
On day three, we will practice more complex rhythms such as ties and triplets while practicing "You'll Be Back" and "My Shot." We will put all the songs together and showcase them at the end of this class. 
Each day, students will have the opportunity to speak and sing the songs from the musical. Students do not need to be familiar with the music.
 As part of the fee for this class, students will receive their own personal copy of the sheet music. This copy is for your own personal use. It can not be distributed. It does not grant performance rights for the piece. You will receive an electronic version of the sheet music upon enrollment of the course. Once you receive a copy of the sheet music, the cost of the sheet music cannot be refunded ($3).
