In this class, we're going to embark on an extraordinary adventure reminiscent of the medieval times. We'll gather unique resources such as special stones, metals, and even magical items that help us build amazing medieval towns and castles. Get ready to design grand fortresses with towering walls, majestic towers, and bustling markets where villagers trade their wares. But that's not all—our world is filled with mystical creatures like dragons and lizards! While they might seem a bit scary at first, we'll learn how to befriend and tame them. It's incredibly exciting to ride a dragon or explore the lands with a companion. The adventures in this magical realm are endless. We'll embark on thrilling quests, exploring hidden dungeons, searching for hidden treasures, and maybe even uncovering ancient artifacts. Along the way, we'll learn to craft powerful weapons and tools to help us in our epic quests. This class is a safe and fun place to play. Mr Langley will guide you through this enchanting world, ensuring you have a great time while learning important lessons about creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. So, grab your swords and magical potions! Join us in the Modded Minecraft Medieval Survival Class for an amazing journey filled with creativity, fun, and discovery in this whimsical, medieval-themed Minecraft universe! The mods included in this server have the following: + A temperature and thirst system + A journey map + Choose from different professions + Lots of NEW dungeons and structures + RPG Stats + Mythical origins + Bosses of mass destruction and adventures (including new mobs) + Arcanus magic and mana + Mythical metals + Waystones and lots 'quality of life' features + Furniture mods + Plus much more! We will gather supplies, discover new environments and create a fun and engaging atmosphere for everyone to enjoy! This weekly meetup is for students who like talking about Minecraft, working together and helping one another in becoming the best versions of themselves! What is required at skill level: This class is designed for players of the intermediate level as the learner will need moderate computer abilities, and extensive Minecraft experience. Students will also need to be familiar with computer folders (for WIndows or Mac) and file browsing to get setup within the modified version of Minecraft. What you can expect to see in this course: We will discover and search the world of modded Minecraft (Java Edition) in survival mode on our own hosted private server (also known as a realm) to build our homes and projects. However, we must be careful- creepers and zombies (and even other real players) are always near so it's important we defend and attack anything that may be a threat to our way of life! Below is an example schedule of what students can choose to follow in the weekly survival challenge. Or, they can choose to make their own destiny: Week 1: Week beginning September 1 - Gather food and get wood Week 2: Week beginning September 7 - Go mining for ores Week 3: Week beginning September 14 - Build a home Week 4: Week beginning September 21 - Start a wheat farm We'll learn to communicate effectively with one another using leadership and teamwork skills. We will discover new environments and objectives within the video game. We will also learn strategic methods in achieving those objectives using problem-solving techniques. We also might want to trade items with each other, sharing and helping one another. We will plan accordingly and build amazing projects that we will be super proud of! Guidance, useful hints and tricks will be picked up throughout the course of the journey. And along the way, we might even make some new friends! Please join me for our next class and let's have a good time! Please note: At the start of the class, I will provide the students with the server information that will enable them to access the private server. Please note that the first 5 minutes or less will be used to set up the game for new students who have enrolled on the course. Intermediate knowledge of Minecraft is needed to play with other students. The session topics will be learner-directed or dictated weekly due to current events. If you come across any problems or queries (even before you have enrolled) please let me know before any session begins and I will do my utmost to help you. Understandingly, under the circumstances that you are incapable of participating because of little preparation, I will not be able to provide a refund. Thank you.
Learning Goals
My learning goals for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, builders and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members and NPCs within the game.
