**A copy of the game Lethal Company is required for this class** DESCRIPTION You are a contracted worker for the Company. Your job is to collect scrap from abandoned, industrialized moons to meet the Company's profit quota. You can use the cash you earn to travel to new moons with higher risks and rewards--or you can buy fancy suits and decorations for your ship. Experience nature, scanning any creature you find to add them to your bestiary. Explore the wondrous outdoors and rummage through their derelict, steel and concrete underbellies. Just never miss the quota. VR ONLINE SAFETY While this class is about socializing and having fun with peers it is also a chance for learners to learn how to interact with others digitally in a responsible, respectful way. Guild of Imagination Virtual Masters are there to give guidance and to show that we should all show the same kindness online and in the digital world that we do in the physical world. Let's face it, the world of online gaming is not always the safest for our learners. Guild of Imagination provides a safe place for your learner to meet other children their age around the world all while interacting in ways never before possible. And the best part is that this experience is in a safe place where they can have fun and not worry about the dangers of online gaming. At the start of each class we will join a private room with a room code we generate and a gamer tag may be necessary to share with the teacher only. During class learners will be required to have their microphone on and volume down on their Zoom meeting device. They will also be required to be in front of the Zoom meeting on their computer during class. MISSION Guild of Imagination’s mission is to empower learners to explore their creativity, embrace diverse perspectives, and foster lifelong curiosity through immersive storytelling experiences. OUR VALUES 1. Inclusivity: We embrace diversity and create a safe, inclusive space where learners from all backgrounds feel valued, respected, and empowered to explore their creative potential. 2. Empathy: We cultivate empathy and understanding, fostering a culture of compassion and support, where learners can freely express themselves and connect with others on meaningful storytelling journeys. 3. Creativity: We ignite and nurture the spark of creativity within each learner, cultivating an environment that encourages imaginative thinking, innovation, and the development of unique storytelling voices. 4. Community: We build a strong sense of community, where learners come together, collaborate, and form lasting friendships, creating a network of support and shared storytelling experiences. 5. Growth: We promote continuous learning and growth, providing opportunities for learners to expand their storytelling skills, build confidence, and unlock their full creative potential, laying the foundation for lifelong learning. GUILD OF IMAGINATION BADGES Explorer - This type of class is for learners that like to solve mysteries, explore new worlds and discover the unique advantages of virtual reality and PC gaming. ATTENDANCE AND REFUNDS Because this is an ongoing club, learners will be able to drop in and out as their schedule requires. While you are enrolled we will provide a 50% refund, or a transfer to another section in the same week (if available), with 24 hours notice of an upcoming absence. This will save a learner's spot in the class for a week they can't attend. Alternatively you can withdraw or pause the class using Outschool's pause feature.
