Homework
Small projects that need to be finished before the next class might be assigned for the following week. They will be carried out with both individuals and as group tasks depending on the project's requirements and size. The homework will last an hour (maximum) and is not mandatory.Class Experience
Step into the world of Minecraft 1-1 Survival/Creative Class! This adventure is all about learning and having fun in a vast, open world. In this class, you'll discover the thrill of exploringin Survival mode or chooseto go into Creative mode and use commands- the choice is yours! We will gather supplies, discover new environments and create a fun and engaging atmosphere for everyone to enjoy! This weekly meetup is for students who like talking about Minecraft, working together and helping in becoming the best versions of themselves! What you can expect to see in this course: We will discover and search the world of Minecraft (Bedrock/Java Edition) in survival or creative mode on our own hosted private server (also known as a realm) to build our homes and projects. However, we must be careful- creepers and zombies are always near so it's important we defend and attack anything that may be a threat to our way of life! We'll learn to communicate effectively with one another using leadership and teamwork skills. We will discover new environments and objectives within the video game. We will also learn strategic methods in achieving those objectives using problem-solving techniques. We also might want to trade items with each other, sharing and helping one another. We will plan accordingly and build amazing projects that we will be super proud of! Guidance, useful hints and tricks will be picked up throughout the course of the journey.! Keep Inventory is ON, so you won't lose your things. Griefing is NOT allowed (destroying other people's homes is not permitted). Please join me for our next class and let's have a good time! Please note: At the start of the class, I will provide the student with the server information that will enable them to access the private server (also known as a realm). Please note that the first 5 minutes or less will be used to set up the game for new student who have enrolled on the course. Basic knowledge of Minecraft is needed to play. The session topics will be learner-directed or dictated weekly due to current events. If you come across any problems or queries (even before you have enrolled) please let me know before any session begins and I will do my utmost to help you. Understandingly, under the circumstances that you are incapable of participating because of little preparation, I will not be able to provide a refund. Thank you.
Learning Goals
My learning goals for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, builders and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members and NPCs within the game.
