Let's Play Minecraft LIFESTEAL SMP! Survival Club (Java PC/Mac) - Weekly Meetup!
What's included
1 live meeting
50 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Each week, we'll meet up, build, battle and survive in the world of Minecraft LifeSteal SMP (Java Edition)! Everyone starts with the same number of hearts. When you defeat someone, you steal one of their hearts (and their loot). And vice versa, if you are defeated, you will lose a heart (and you will also lose all of your loot)! More so, if you run out of hearts, you will not be able to respawn until the next class starts! This is a very competitive SMP! We will gather supplies, discover new environments and create a fun, engaging and competitive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy! This weekly meetup is for students who like talking about Minecraft, working together or solo and helping one another in becoming the best versions of themselves! In my classes, we will learn about the following subjects: Week of December 19th: Gathering essential supplies including food from plants and animals Week of December 26th: Cutting down wood and crafting tools like a pickaxe Week of January 2nd: Finding land you want to live on and building your first base Week of January 9th: Discovering other players knowing you are ready for anything that comes next! - And More! What you can expect to see in this course: We will discover and search the world of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) in survival mode on our own hosted private server (also known as a realm) to build our bases and traps ready for anything that comes next! We must be careful- creepers, zombies and even other players are always near so it's important we defend and attack anything that may be a threat to our way of life! Please join me for our next class and let's have a good time! Please note: At the start of the class, I will provide the students with the server information that will enable them to access the private server. Please note that the first 5 minutes or less will be used to set up the game for new students who have enrolled on the course. Basic knowledge of Minecraft is needed to play with other students. If you come across any problems or queries (even before you have enrolled) please let me know before any session begins and I will do my utmost to help you. Understandingly, under the circumstances that you are incapable of participating because of little preparation, I will not be able to provide a refund. Thank you.
Learning Goals
My learning goal for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, survivors and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members and NPCs within the game.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
A Microsoft account will be required to play Minecraft Online with other people. With the Microsoft account, there should be a "gamertag" which is a username. I do not need to know the gamertag name as I will provide a code that will allow the learner to join the server. Please do not share any gamertags in the classroom. Any problems please message me privately.
Disruptive students who have been warned more than once will have their accounts temporarily suspended from the server until the next class. Nonetheless, it is not confined to unacceptable actions including foul language or harassing other students.
Supply List
For this class, you will need to have purchased a copy of Minecraft (Java Edition). You'll need two devices: the first for the Zoom call (to talk) and one to play Minecraft (Java Edition). Zoom can be downloaded and used on smartphones (iOS/Android) or PC, and Minecraft (Java Edition) can be played on another device (Windows 10/11 PC or Mac). It's highly recommended to have the most recent installation of Minecraft (Java Edition) on your device. And you will all need a FREE Microsoft Account to play Minecraft online. Please visit https://account.microsoft.com/ for more details on how to sign up.
