US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Phonemic Awareness is the ability to manipulate and identify individual sounds therefore students should be able to rapidly name all letters/sounds for this class to be beneficial. We will begin by working on fluency of short vowel sounds; use fun kinesthetic activities to isolate and blend phonemes (sounds), and finally build and write CVC words In this class: Student will orally segment words into individual sounds and blend sounds to read words. Students will build words with printable letter tiles or your own lowercase magnet letters. Students will write the sounds to make CVC words. We will cover two vowels each day with third day including a review of all. Letter tiles are needed for each day and will be shared ahead of time so students have them ready to use.
