Let’s Make Music - Pop, Rock, Disney, Hip Hop Music Production With GarageBand

Is your child interested in making music? Does your child want to learn how to create some seriously cool music to show off to their friends and family? Join me as we learn how to compose new music every week using our iPads and the free iPad app GarageBand. During this on-going course we will learn how to write some of today’s and yesterday’s best music, from fun Disney music, to hard Rock covers, from cool Remix's, to inspired Superhero music!

I have been studying and performing music for over 10 years and have a Bachelors degree in Music; this has given me the proper tools to develop an on-going course introducing GarageBand in a fun and engaging way that will leave your young music lover feeling proud and accomplished.

This class was created for small groups of students, so that learners can get the most out of each weekly course. My iPad will be screen cast so that students will be able to see the exact steps of each section and how to recreate them. I will be guiding each section of the song, through Zoom, step-by-step so that learners can follow along. Students can ask questions throughout the lesson, in case they need some more explanation, and we will discuss how to resolve these issues as we work our way through the song. We'll move at a comfortable pace so that everyone can keep up during the music writing process.

The purpose of this course is to learn the basics of GarageBand in a fun and creative atmosphere, so don’t worry if your learner doesn’t have too much experience with GarageBand, they just have to bring their love of music to class and they’ll learn how to create some cool music to show their friends and family!

This course is on a 16 week content rotation, that means that every 16 weeks this content starts over. If your child has been in this class for 16 weeks or longer, they are starting to repeat lessons and they are ready to try different classes that I offer. However, learners are welcome to stay in this class as long as they like.     

Students can start at any time and cycle back through to catch the classes they missed or for reinforcement. 

As a teacher I make sure to make every class an original experience, keeping learning fun and your little ones engaged and feeling accomplished.
