This four time math class will help further develop a strong math foundation and help to make math fun and engaging. The students will play a subitizing/quick image game using ten frames and dot formations. The students will be engaged and discuss what what they notice. They will also compose and decompose numbers to find partners of five and ten in creative ways. The lessons do not build on each other, so feel free to enroll your child for one lesson, or all four. ~Students will develop a strong math foundation and further develop a sense of numbers. ~By the end of the four classes, students will be able to tell the partners of 5 and partners of 10. ~Students will use communication skills to discuss numbers and patterns in numbers. ~Students will play a quick image game that will help increase subitizing skills. ~Students will use creative skills to create number projects. ~Students will use social skills to interact with other students.
Students will need white paper and crayons or colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
