All About Ladybugs~Science Life Cycle, Literacy, Reading Comprehension, Art
In this one time class, the students will listen to a fiction story and a non fiction book about ladybugs, and draw a step by step ladybug with labels. The finished project will be a ladybug research project.

Class Experience
The students will listen to a fiction and a non fiction book during the "research" part of the class. Together we will brainstorm ladybug facts using the format: Ladybugs can~Ladybugs are~Ladybugs have. During the directed drawing portion of the class, the students will draw and color a ladybug. They will share the ladybug with their classmates, if they feel comfortable doing so. The students will then write ladybug facts or words. Their finished ALL ABOUT LADYBUGS research project can...
-Student will use listening skills by focusing on ladybug facts and the lifecycle of a ladybug. -Student will use research skills to gather information about ladybugs. -Student will use creative skills by drawing and coloring a ladybug. -Student will use writing skills to create sentences with facts about ladybugs.
The students will need a pencil, paper, and crayons or markers.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
