Learning another language is beneficial for many reasons. Research shows that children who are exposed to more than one language, especially in the early years, are creative, have a better memory, concentrate more, and have a better understanding of the world around them. When a child is given the gift of another language, it opens the door to numerous possibilities including making new friends, learning about other cultures and customs, and a future career using another language! I have more than 20 years experience teaching young children Spanish, and my goal is for your child to hear as much Spanish as possible during each lesson for optimal exposure to the target language. I love seeing the children grasp new concepts and I will have your child speaking and understanding Spanish right from the start!
No homework is required. However, it is very beneficial for the student to practice what they have learned each week.
Activity sheets will need to be printed for each week and will be available in the classroom as a PDF. Students will also need crayons, colored pencils, or markers as well as scissors and glue. Specific materials for each class meeting will be mentioned prior to the start of each meeting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
