Learning another language is beneficial for many reasons. Research shows that children who are exposed to more than one language, especially in the early years, are creative, have a better memory, concentrate more, and have a better understanding of the world around them. When a child is given the gift of another language, it opens the door to numerous possibilities including making new friends, learning about other cultures and customs, and a future career using another language!

Let’s Learn More Spanish! is a four-week introductory class for young learners. Students may take this class without any prior Spanish exposure, but it is meant to be a continuation of the class Let’s Learn Spanish! and will be more meaningful to your child if they have completed that class first. This class will be divided into four lessons, with one lesson each week. Week one will include more greetings and introductions ( My name is..., I am from ____), as well as the numbers 11-20. During week two, we will review the colors previously learned in Let’s Learn Spanish! and we will learn more colors - orange, purple, pink, brown, black, white, gray. Week three will consist of reviewing the parts of the face from the previous class, and learning more body parts (face, arms, hands, legs, feet). Week four will include learning the names of zoo animals (monkey, elephant, giraffe, lion, tiger). 

Each class will begin with our greetings  and an introduction to the specified vocabulary. Learners will see several visuals and manipulatives that reinforce the target words, and will have many opportunities to hear the correct pronunciation and practice saying the words and phrases with both the teacher and with each other. We will play games during each class such as bingo, scavenger hunt, and Simon Says. At the end of each class, we will say our goodbyes in Spanish.
