Class Experience
It's time for you and your amigos to have even more fun speaking Spanish! In this 12 week semester class, learners will meet weekly in small groups to continue focusing on the basics of the Spanish language. **Please note that your learner must have completed Super Spanish Semesters A - C before joining in on this class. Each thirty minute session will include greetings, how we are feeling, a review of the days of the week, month, current season, and a weather report by each learner. New...
Homework is not required, but it is strongly recommended that learners practice what they have learned for at least 10 minutes each day. I also encourage all learners to use the target language as much as possible. Listen to songs in Spanish. Choose games and toys for your child that can be played with in the target language, such as memory games, a play kitchen, magnet letters/numbers, etc. Watch children's tv shows or movies in Spanish. Consider borrowing Spanish language books from the library, or begin building your own Spanish language library at home!
Learners will need a small white board/dry erase board and marker each week. Handouts that may be needed for a particular lesson will be available in the classroom, and will need to be printed prior to the start of the class meeting. Flashcards and some additional pieces for specific lessons will need to be cut out before the meeting. Other materials used during meetings include glue, children's scissors, coloring materials (markers, crayons, colored pencils) and random items found around the house.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal verbal and written assessments will be conducted each week.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please supervise your learner when they are using scissors during our class.
