Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 10
Intermediate Level
This weekly, ongoing course will heavily focus on diseases and or dysfunctions of various organ systems. Unlike my course- “The Anatomy Voyage” (already on Outschool platform) which does an in- depth study of the organ systems anatomy, this class will offer a general anatomy introduction of the highlighted organ system of the week to allow concentration on the actual diseases and or dysfunctions affecting that organ system. The course will provide the student with opportunity of learning how a diseased or dysfunctional organ can disrupt homeostasis (the equilibrium of a healthy body system). Each week's class is a stand -alone(meaning that the learner can drop in and out of their subscription at any point). A different organ system weekly, however an identical format of isolating minimal of 3 and maximum of 5 diseases or dysfunctions impairing that organ resulting in abnormal function. There will be(11) weekly sessions.

1) Week of 01/14/2024- The diseases and dysfunctions of the Brain
2) Week of 01/21/2024 -The diseases and dysfunctions of the Heart
3) Week of 01/28/2024- The diseases and dysfunctions of the Lungs
4) Week of 02/04/2024- The diseases and dysfunctions of the Spinal Cord
5) Week of 02/11/2024 - The diseases and dysfunctions of Integumentary System
6) Week of 02/18/2024- The diseases and dysfunctions of Muscles
7) Week of 02/25/2024 -The diseases and dysfunctions of Bones
8) Week of 03/03/2024 - The diseases and dysfunctions of Digestive System
9) Week of 03/10/2024- The diseases and dysfunctions of Lymphatic System
10) Week of 03/17/2024- The diseases and dysfunctions of Urinary System
11) Week of 03/24/2024-The diseases and dysfunctions of Endocrine System

The course will be intellectually challenging but age appropriate. The classes are highly interactive with class participation, discussions and power point slides and or videos. This class will be a great optional course for the science buff, and or those with health careers aspiration. * Please note that this course is purely informational and not to be substituted for seeking of professional medical advice. *
