Learning to Write “With a Montessori Approach”

During this pre-writing class learners will get an opportunity to use their fine motor skills, to draw letters. This will help to build their strength in fingers and encourage them to become great writers. 

This is a Montessori class and as a group we will discuss each finger and learn their names. I will ask open ended questions and allow each student to give me a letter that they would like to explore. All letters will be displayed on my screen ( only the one we are discussing) and I will write with them. I also guide them through the processes if needed. 

Montessori-This method of education is based on self directed activities, hands-on learning and collaborative play. In Montessori classrooms children make creative choices in their learning, while the teacher offers age-appropriate activities to guide the process. 

Experience in this field of work is required and I have had the proper training and guidance in order to successfully teach this skill. I also have a degree in Education and Health and Human Services, and this has allowed me to see things from different perspectives.
