Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the value of CAD programming and its uses in current careers. They will also learn how to take an idea from paper to 3D and beyond (into a real-life product). Students will work on problem solving, creative and critical thinking, and communication skills.
No supplies are needed.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Your child will be signed on to Tinkercad through my educator account during this class. If they like the program and want to use it for their own projects you will need to set up a free account for them. (See the terms from Tinkercad below and please follow this link to see Tinkercad's guidelines for setting up an account for children younger than 13: https://blog.tinkercad.com/parents-guide-to-starting-kids-in-tinkercad). Child User. If You are a User of the Service and are under the age of 13 (“Child User”), You may not register an account for the Service without consent and approval from your legal parent or guardian, or Educator. A Child User that begins the registration process for himself or herself without a Parent User will be given a restricted account until a Parent User or Educator approves or assumes responsibility for the Child User account. Also, I will need your mailing address (in a private message) to send the final print. As soon as I have sent the print I will delete your address.
