A fun weekly ongoing class where we make cool 3D art for video games. Students will learn more advanced Blender techniques. The class will move at a faster pace than level 1. Not for Blender beginners.

Class Experience

Attention all video game lovers!  This class is for intermediate Blender users who are comfortable with using Blender. Students should be familiar with the object and edit modes and have used the extrude inset, bevel, and loop cut tools. Recommended for experienced students who want to move beyond the basics of Blender.

This is an ongoing weekly class where we practice making cool art for video games. This class uses a free 3D modeling software program called Blender. Students will learn new tips, tricks, and concepts every class while making something cool for a video game as they practice and learn 3D modeling. 

3D modeling is used to create all the creatures, characters, and environments we see in video games and animated movies. This class is for intermediate Blender software users who have some 3D modeling knowledge and want to practice their skills. You can jump in at any time as we will make a new creation every week.

Learning Goals
To further develop modeling skills once students have mastered the basics of modeling. Students will learn new modeling techniques, try more challenging models and learn more about modifies and animation Blender simulation engines. Class will move at a faster pace then the beginner class.

Parental Guidance
The class requires Blender, which is a 3rd party software program. Blender will be used to create our 3D art and the class is intended to further develop a student's 3D modeling skills and knowledge. It's free to download and no account or sign up is necessary. You just need a pc that meets the minimum requirements which is listed under the supply requirements.
Supply List
Students must download and install Blender before the first day of class. If you have problems installing please send me a message on Outschool and I will try to help.

A second monitor or device for the zoom meeting.
A three-button mouse (left mouse, right mouse, and a scroll wheel) THIS IS REQUIRED!
Keyboard
A desktop or laptop Computer that from the the last 10 years
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
