Learn To Sing Like A Pro: Small Group Private Voice Lessons for the Teen/Tween Singer
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1 hour per week. Students will be expected to learn their songs at their own pace by putting in some time practicing at home in addition to class. Students should ideally practice for 20 minutes 4 times a week to learn the notes and pitches to their song and practice techniques learned in class. Everyone has different time constraints so this is just a suggestion for minimum ideal practice.Class Experience
In this ongoing group voice lesson, students will learn about vocal technique as they learn their own solo song. Each week we will begin with breathing and vocal exercises designed to improve power, ease of production, agility, range, and confidence! Topics covered include important singing fundamentals such as breathe support, resonance, placement, tone, style, and more. Students will have time in class to sing their chosen song and receive guidance so they can craft a performance ready solo for their book. They can choose to work on the same piece until it feels performance ready or pick a new song each week. The instructor may also suggest repertoire for the student to explore to expand their knowledge of music and increase the number of songs in their arsenal. Class size is kept small so students have the opportunity to receive plenty of individual attention. As an added opportunity for them to perform in front of an audience of their peers, they can also register for my monthly Recital Ready class so they can share a song they crafted in class and show off their hard work. Other topics that will be explored are audition prep, competition coaching, high belting, navigating your break, finding your mix, accessing your head voice, 16-32 bar audition cuts, vocal styles, riffing and runs, acting the song, reading music, crafting a performance, and more! I want students to understand what the exercises are for and how to use them in their own practice at home so they can train the whole voice, not just learn an exercise. My teaching style focuses on building technique through training and knowledge, but also emphasizes having fun and building confidence so students can become the singer they want to be! #creative
