US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
This class features a complete series that covers all 26 letters of the alphabet over 4 weeks. In this series, we will focus on letter recognition, letter sounds, pre-reading skills, and letter tracing. 🏆 LETTER GAMES - Students will be introduced to the letters and will learn the sound each letter makes. They will play Pokémon-themed games to practice and retain the knowledge learned. 📝 FINE MOTOR PRACTICE - Students will be encouraged to practice writing each letter with the tracing sheets I have designed. I will make these available to the student on the classroom page so they can be printed at your convenience. Tracing sheets are for writing practice outside of class. 🧑🏫 SOCIAL SKILLS - We will go over what we learned and discussed in class, share the work we completed, chat about fun topics, or show a toy. • I have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University and I am certified to teach English as a second language.
• I have 8+ years of teaching experience in public schools, libraries, and the online classroom.
• I love spending time with my two sons and together we learn something new every day! We are big fans of dinosaurs, video games, Disney movies, and Pokémon. Many of my classes are inspired by our adventures.
• My lessons are engaging, student-focused, and based on proven standards of education for elementary-age learners. I have received additional training in both literacy and math instruction. I am very passionate about teaching students the foundations of reading and math in a FUN way! My classes are full of student participation, interactive games, and educational content. Your student will be so busy having fun that they won’t even realize how much they are learning at the same time.
