In this course, we will cover basic chords (A chord, C chord, D chord, E chord, G chord, and F chord) and practice using songs that the students choose themselves! After selecting a song, I will prepare a simplified version of the song so that students can start playing songs from the very first session. We'll start each class by practicing how to tune our guitar and reviewing finger positioning for the chords we learned in the previous class. We will practice even, steady strums and how to play with or without a pic. Then, we will learn any new chords we need for today's song, and we will practice playing and singing the new song slowly with plenty of time to practice switching between chords. Playing guitar is such a joy, and I can't wait to help your child learn how to play some of their favorite songs! See you in class! Thank you, Teacher Shea
