I have been speaking Japanese for over 10 years and teaching Japanese classes to kids and adults for over 5 years. I graduated from the University of Michigan's 2-year Intensive Japanese Immersion Course with communicative competence in reading and writing Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji, and have lived and worked in Tokyo. Japan is an amazing country filled with history, natural beauty, and incredible food, and I have so many experiences and pictures from my time there to share with you in class! I have been teaching Japanese virtually for the past 4 years, and I love finding new and creative ways to make virtual learning fun!
Homework Offered
Each class will be accompanied by a character trace sheet that students can print at home to practice writing the new characters we learn each week. While completing the trace sheets is not required to participate in the class, it is highly encouraged as it will help with character recognition, recall, and overall reading and writing proficiency. Students will be encouraged to share their completed trace sheets in class.
