Knowing how to tune your guitar is the first step in every guitarist's journey! In this one-time course, your learner will learn how to tune their guitar with a clip-on, stand-alone, smartphone, or online electronic guitar tuner.

Beginner Level
In this one-time class, I will be teaching learners how to tune their guitars using a clip-on, stand-alone, smartphone, or online electronic guitar tuner. Students are encouraged to bring their own tuner if they already have one, but I will be providing links to free online and smartphone guitar tuners as well, so bring a smartphone along to use as a tuner too! Learners will need an acoustic guitar, or an electric guitar plugged into an amplifier so I (and the rest of the class) can hear the notes they play. The class will be taught to everyone at first, then I will be working with each student one by one and leading them through the entire process individually with their own tuners or tuners I will provide online in the lesson.
Learning Goals
When this class is over, each learner will be able to tune their own guitar by themselves using their own choice of guitar tuner.

Pre-Requisites
No prerequisites needed - this class is for absolute beginners! However, learners will need an acoustic guitar, or an electric guitar plugged into an amplifier so I (and the rest of the class) can hear the notes they play.
Supply List
A tuning handout and a list of current online and phone tuner apps will be provided to learners as a reference sheet, for using in class and on their own.

If you have your own tuner already, bring it to class, but it's not required - you'll have access to an online tuner by the end of the class. Also, if you think you'll want to use your smartphone as a guitar tuner, bring it along to class as well and I'll give resources for phone tuner apps.
