Class Experience

This class will cover the basics of the Japanese language, including greetings, colors, animals, numbers, body parts, weather, feelings, actions, and simple sentence structure and grammar. We will learn basic grammar structures and verb conjugations for state-of-being, and practice using the plain form to conjugate verbs. Each class will include a review of basic greetings, an introduction to new vocabulary, a simple grammar structure to practice newly learned vocabulary, a short Q&A to...

This class is taught in Japanese.

Students will learn basic sentence structure and be able to confidently express their thoughts in Japanese.  Students will learn basic vocabulary that is used in day-to-day life and become familiar with greetings, self-introductions, and basic conversation.

I graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Intensive Japanese Program, as well as graduating with a minor in Asian Languages. I have been speaking Japanese for over 10 years, and I have been teaching language online for almost 5 years.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
