Class Experience

Firstly, I will introduce myself and my variety of temperate fish. Then we will cover some interesting facts about all temperate fish and my tank. Finally, we will cover some care tips, for example, do you know what a temperate fish is? Which ones lay eggs and which ones have live babies? The material is designed to be basic and help young people to gain knowledge to build their own community fish tank.

If you have pet fish then tell me their species! I can include interesting facts about them and would love to hear about their personalities.

This is a highly interactive class. For example, feel free to ask questions at any time.

Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
I offer all kinds of classes! I can teach you how to draw dogs; tutor you in GCSE exam technique; or help guide you through the A-Level Biology syllabus. I only offer classes that I have a high level of knowledge in. The quality of my lessons are very important to me.

I have a First-Class Degree in Environmental Biology, from Queen’s University Belfast. I loved my degree, undertaking modules involving physics, chemistry, and statistics. My enthusiasm for learning has motivated me to help others to enjoy learning and expand their knowledge.

At university, I tutored younger students in exam technique and the various modules of the first year Environmental Biology curriculum. Then in March 2019, I started my Art and Tutoring business called AW Art.

It may surprise you to know that my students have ranged from 6 to 80 years old! I have taught one-to-one and conducted classes of over 15 people. I am happy for you to request lessons in all kinds of topics linked to art and biology.

Fun fact: I am a qualified Ocean Diver. This means I can scuba dive in open waters, up to a depth of 20 metres!
