This course will use discussion, slides, and demonstrations of basic housekeeping skills related to keeping your fabrics clean and well-kept so they will last. We will discuss different types of laundry detergents, conditioners, and stain removers, methods to keeping your laundry organized, and the importance of knowing your fabric type. We will cover how to operate the washer and dryer at home, going to the laundry mat, separating out light and dark-colored fabrics, folding and hanging...
The idea is to help young people to feel more confident and prepared to be able to do their own laundry independently.
