Class Experience

In this one on one class, learners will receive personal guidance on organizing, completing, and submitting assignments on a weekly basis.
This class is geared towards students who are submitting assignments via a digital or virtual format such as Google Classroom, but can be adjusted to help with organizing and prepping assignments to take to school.
We will discuss goals and strategies relevant to the learner.

This class is not designed to help with the homework itself, but to help the learner organize and plan what they need to do. It is incredibly beneficial for a sense of accountability.
As a neurodivergent adult, I understand that sometimes choosing where to begin can be a challenge that makes it hard to get anything done at all. My goal is to help learners prioritize and come up with a game plan as well as give them time to work on their assignments with a calm and encouraging work environment.
Please feel free to message me before enrolling to schedule meetings with any information you'd like to provide or for help scheduling meetings.

Hello! My name is Miss Izzy and I was definitely born to teach. I have a General Studies degree that covers topics such as teaching and learning, psychology, and humanities. Learning can, and should, be a lot of fun! I am always excited about trying something new, and I love to help others learn new things as well. I, myself, was a very interesting student, and that really helps me to be able to cater to a large variety of learning styles. I am more than happy to accommodate all students to the best of my ability. I believe that learning should be equitable and accessible to every student who has the desire to learn. Let's talk about your learner and how we can work together to meet their needs!
I offer a variety of classes such as Greek Mythology, Beginner Spanish, Reading Tutoring, and School/Life Skills.
I have lived in Guatemala off and on for a little over 9 years, and it taught me so much more about teaching in various ways. I also operate a nonprofit in Guatemala that works in a rural village educating those who do not always have the opportunity to attend school.
Before I started teaching online, I worked for a national literacy non-profit as a Site Coordinator and a tutor. I worked with both elementary students learning to read and helped train the volunteers that came in to tutor them.
I have 2 delightful dogs who love to snuggle with, Sammie and Odyss, and I really am so excited to be your teacher!
