In this six week course, we will examine the world of the Carraclough family and their beloved Lassie through a book study of Eric Knight's "Lassie Come Home."

"Your mind is a garden and books are the seeds, so pick a favorite, and bloom as you read!" This class will examine the classic book, "Lassie Come Home," over the course of six weeks. We will examine vocabulary and comprehension questions from each chapter, but also dive into the world Knight created with history and geography enrichment activities too. Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom; substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level; assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level.
