In this ongoing book club, learners will read and discuss a Magic School Bus book each week developing their comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and more! ESL friendly. Week of 13/1/2025 - In the Time of the Dinosaur Week of 20/1/2025 - Meets the Rot Squad Week of 27/1/2025 - Inside a Beehive Week of 3/2/2025 - Gets Baked in a Cake Week of 10/2/2025 - Plants Seeds Week of 17/2/2025 - Science Fair Expedition Week of 24/2/2025 - Hops Home Week of 3/3/2025 - Inside the Earth Week of 10/3/2025 - Inside the Human Body Week of 17/3/2025 - On the Ocean Floor Further classes will be added. Learners can join the class at any point. This is an ongoing course so each class stands alone. We focus on a different theme from the books each week whilst developing comprehension skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Learners can join the class no matter how much of the series they have read. Each week will include a range of teaching activities including reading out loud, videos, discussions, activity sheets, Q+A, slides and more. Parental Guidance
Please note, this is an English language class to develop comprehension and vocabulary. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.
Supply List
The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
